One price, several routes
The day trip runs on more than one route: the cave with a kayak paddle down the Tigre River, the Cerro Bayano hike, or the visit to the Emberá community. The price, the schedule and the lunch are the same for all of them. Which one you do is arranged with you when you book.
From 2 to 20 people per tour.
To make it go well
Closed shoes
Hiking shoes, sneakers or thick-soled water shoes. No bare feet, sandals or Crocs inside the cave.
Quick-dry clothing
Long sleeves and leggings prevent scrapes in the cave; t-shirt and shorts for the kayak. Bring a full change for the end.
Protect your gear
Phones and cameras are your own responsibility. We recommend waterproof cases. We are not liable for loss or damage.
Tell us about allergies
If there is a fish allergy or a vegan or vegetarian diet, tell us at least a day ahead. The usual alternative is lentils with rice, salad and fruit, or chicken or beef.
Documents
There are National Police, traffic and SENAFRONT checkpoints on the way: bring your licence and ID or passport.
No alcohol in the cave
Alcohol is not allowed in the cave or on the Tigre River, and you may not take the trip intoxicated.
Before you book
Minimum age: 12
The trip is not suitable for children under 12, the very elderly, or anyone with a physical condition that could cause difficulty. We reserve the right of admission.
Not recommended if...
You have claustrophobia, an extreme fear of darkness, or a phobia of bats and insects native to the cave ecosystem.
